Thread Drawings
These drawings begin in anticipation, shaped by the restive, suspended, wavering energies that characterize periods of expectancy. I draw with thread through translucent paper, to build a double-drawing with large loose stitches on both sides of the paper. The accumulation of lines begins to describe a form. There is a quivering quality in these drawings, as the thread lines subtly shift according to the amount of slack in the unknotted threads.
