The Transcripts and Readings were made by placing and pressing ink-soaked cotton cording between long sheets of Japanese Kozo (mulberry) paper. Once dried, these arcing, twisting dimensional lines became sculptural material for numerous works, including the public art commission Score (2014), installed at Portland State University’s Lincoln Performance Hall.
